The Boab tree given to the people of Western Australia by the Giga people of the East Kimberly in July 2008. The tree had to be moved to allow construction of a new bridge on the Great Northern Highway and was transported 3200 km to Kings Park in Perth. The tree is estimated to be over 750 years old.
